    Sound quality very looooow in Windows 10 pro


    Recently I upgraded my laptop to win 10 pro from win 7 pro. The sound quality in Windows 7 was very fine, I could here the sound from outside of the room. But now I can't here the sound from 1 inch of distance. My audio device HD audio, driver provided by microsoft. What should I do in this situation. I think the driver is defaulted. I really don't the Audio device. Which driver should I install or what should I do ?

    N.B: Any driver updating tool doesn't update the driver. It shows up to date.

    Sound Quality

    One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

    May not be a speaker problem.

    Sound quality very looooow in Windows 10 pro

    Realtek HD Audio low and bad quality sound after Windows 10 upgrade

    Do the following steps:

    1. Go into Sound.
    2. Properties.
    3. Advanced and change the sound quality from CD to DVD quality.

    It worked for me.
