Windows 10: Sound regarding dell inspiron laptop

Hey there peeps,



This all started when I was hearing static coming from my headset yesterday at about 6 pm. I tried to update my audio drivers, but they up and disappeared on me. I tried to reinstall it on my own, but nothing seems to work.


Things you should know:

I started to hear this static following a windows update, but like hours after. The sound was fine for the entire day until about 5:45-6

This laptop is plugged into an external monitor, as I play games on it, and I have the displays extended.


It has a USB extender, on it is my microphone, my keyboard, and a charger for my vape and phone.

The computer itself is approx 3-4 years old at this point, it has done this in the past but every time I have reinstalled windows I haven't had any issues, and it has always come back immediately.


I can hear if I connect using my Bluetooth headphones although not ideal in the slightest, I can also hear out of the monitor Benq monitor, I forget which model and make.


When I go into device manager, under sound appears my microphone Blue Snowball, My Bluetooth headphones, and something called intelr display audio which I assume if for my monitor


When I go into my sound settings, the only things that show are the monitor, and my headphones if on and connected to the laptop.


When I go under view, and select show hidden, it doesn't show Realtek at all but does show a bunch of Microsoft stuff.

When I go into playback devices, it shows just my monitor and my BlueTooth Headphones.


Here is what I have done so far to attempt to remedy the issue:

Attempted to update drivers

Attempted several times to no avail to redownload Realtek audio One from the Dell Website, One from the official realtek site, and one from major geeks.


Have tried to restore from a restore point to no avail tried 3 different times.


Completely reinstalled windows via USB 1 time


Factory reset the pc 2 times, with fresh windows 10 copies


Attempted to use Driver Easy to check for the realtek audio driver, to no avail.



I'm really lost at what to do at this point. I want to avoid taking it into the shop if possible, however I fear it might be the audio jack itself, or something wrong with the soundcard on the motherboard.

Dell Inspiron 7537 Laptop & Creator's Upgrade

My Dell Inspiron 15 7537 laptop hasn't been offered the update to the Creator's Update via Windows Update yet and it doesn't appear on Dell's upgrade list. Has anyone updated their Inspiron 7537 to the Creator's Update via the Media Creation Tool or ISO file and did you have any problems?

 

Suddenly no sound on Dell inspiron 3655 with windows 10

Did you do any updates or the Dell Support Assist did updates?
Look at the Device Manager, Sound, Video and Game Controller section. Is Realtek (the sound in your model) listed and does it have an error code or is it shown as working OK? If Realtek isn't listed but High Definition Audio is, reinstall Realtek as a start.
