    Change Sounds

Step 1 - Download the sounds you wish to hear to a folder on your hard drive. I suggest creating a sub-folder under music.

Step 2- Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your screen and choose Sounds.

Step 3- Select a Program Event for which you wish to assign a sound.

Step 4 - Use the Browse button to browse to the folder you created.

Step 5 - Choose a sound for the Program Event.

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue sound setting:When the program changes the screen, the sound output is automatically changed :p

Window can't change my default sound output automatically

My pc is unable to change the sound output when I plug in the headphone.

I am using a optical output as my speaker, and I also have a ROG MAXIMUS VIII EXTREME/ASSEMBLY with a amp that's come wiht the mother board. When I plug in my head phone in the amp, I have to change the default setting
in the playback option in order to have sound output from the amp.
