    Sounds Settings Bug

In Windows 10 Version 1909 (I was finally able to update from 1809 to 1909 after a factory reset), there is a 'Sound Settings' window and a somewhat hidden 'Sound Control Panel'.

If I open up the 'Sound Control Panel', click on the Playback tab, and set a different device as Default, the changes also appear in the 'Sound Settings' window at the same time. But if I click on the Recording tab, and set a different device as Default, the change only appears in the 'Sound Control Panel' but it will not update in the 'Sound Settings' window. The 'Sound Settings' window will still show the previous device that is no longer active.

This is problematic for NirCmd users who create hotkey shortcuts for switching devices. Sometimes we want confirmation that the change took place. It is easier to get to the 'Sound Settings' window than it is the 'Sound Control Panel', so it would be nice if those changes were updated and displayed correctly.

    Recommendation #01

Another thing is if you hover over the sound icon in the System Tray, it shows what device is active. But it only shows the Playback (now called Output) device. It should also show the Input device. Like this "Speakers / Stereo Mix", or "Headphones (01) / Microphone (01)". If it were set up that way, I could hover my mouse on the sound icon and immediately see if I am using the correct Ouput AND Input devices.

    Recommendation #02

There should be an option listed in the 'Sounds Settings' window that lets users decide what left-clicking the sound icon (in the system tray) does. Give options to open up the 'Sound Settings' window or the 'Volume Mixer' window instead of the volume slider for the selected Playback device. Maybe some people like having only one option, but personally I never needed to adjust the overall system volume for the Playback device. I just use the Volume Slider a lot to adjust the volume of specific programs. And really, I only want the left-click to open up the 'Sound Settings' window because then that would be the quickest way to switch both Input and Output devices at the same time or check that the right ones are selected (since hovering the mouse on the sound icon doesn't show which Output device is being used).

PS - I'm unsubscribed because I know there are a lot of losers on a lot of forums that have nothing better to do than disagree and argue with the original poster's bug report, feedback, feature requests, and suggestions. I'm not going to let losers troll or annoy me, so they can have fun talking to themselves.
