Windows 10: Sound stopped working in wired headphone on my Surface Pro 9

Hi,So I've been using a wired headphone on my Microsoft Surface Pro 9 to listen, the device doesn't support a 3.5mm audio jack Port but it does have a type-c port which I use an adapter to plug in my headphone, everything was find, no problem at all, I plug out the headphone connected with the adapter every time I close the device, until one day I plugged in the headphone and its not playing any sound, the headphone and adapter is completely find I tried it on my phone no problem at all..So I'm trying to find a solution for why is the headphone not working on my device anymore?Hope I can find

I suggest you follow the steps below to fix issues with audio and check if that helps

1. Right click on the
   speaker icon which is on the bottom right corner.
   
2. Select Sound option
   from the list.
   
3. Under Playback tab, Right click on
   speakers\headphones.
   
4. Select Advance option.
   
5. Under Advance tab, click on
   Restore Defaults.

Why are my bluetooth headphones not connecting properly?

We appreciate your active participation in the Microsoft Community. Based on the description you posted, it seems that you have an issue with Surface Pro9 wherein the Sony WH-1000MX4 headphones it connects but the sound is not working.

Let’s work together in finding the best solution to this issue. To get started I will ask a few questions to further isolate the issue.

• Another Bluetooth device connect on your Surface are working properly with no issues?
  
• Did you try to connect another headphone on your Surface device and still have same issue?
  
• When you connect the Sony WH-1000MX4 headphones the sound default is already set to the headphones?
  

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Make sure your headphones are fully charged.
   
2. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone to avoid any interference.
   
3. Reset the Bluetooth module on your Surface Pro 9. You can do this by going to Settings >Bluetooth & devices, selecting your headphones, and clicking on "Remove device." Then, restart your Surface Pro 9 and pair your headphones again.
   
4. Update the Bluetooth driver on your Surface Pro 9. You can do this by going to Device Manager, finding the Bluetooth driver, right-clicking on it, and selecting uninstall and do not put any check mark on the box that say complete delete>Just click uninstall and then okay.
   
5. Then. Press Windows button + X the click on device manager. > then click on Sound, video and game controllers.> Then right click on the sound driver then uninstall and do not but any check mark that say complete delete. Just click uninstall then okay.
   
6. Check Audio Output Settings:
   
   • After connecting your headphones, make sure they are selected as the default audio output device on your Surface Pro 9.
     
   • Go to Settings > System > Sound and verify that the headphones are set as the output device.
     
7. Then restart to apply changes. Once the device is on connect again the devices.
   

If none of these step's work, you may want to contact Sony support for further assistance with your headphones.

No sound from wired headphones

I have a pair of wired headphones but i cannot hear sound when connected to front heasphone jack on my Asus pc and investigated Realtek HD Audio Manager settings but cannot see anything happen when headphones connected the front audio jacks appear greyed out and have ticked show disabled devices and show disconnected devices and no headphone icon appears anywhere in sound properties section

Previously i had a pair of Logitech desktop speakers with bass speaker which were mains powered and my headphones worked ok and now have a pair of Creative speakers which are connected to pc via Usb...could this be the problem ?

My OS is Windows 10 Pro with latest updates.

Any help would be appreciated.
