Windows 10: Sound works on youtube, garbled in every other app, ideas?

Netflix, hulu, shudder all garbled. It only works on youtube. I have tried multiple browsers. I have updated all the drivers.

Any thoughts?

Your Phone APP call sound garbled

While working on my surface Pro X I'm able to answer texts just fine. When calls come in I can answer from my laptop but the audio is garbled. It sounds like someone talking through a voice changer. The callers report that they can hear me just fine.

Is there a fix for the garbled call audio? Both my phone and laptop software are updated.

The phone is Samsung S7Edge if that matters.

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
