Windows 10: soundcards/usb audio interfaces for ARM64 laptop HP Elite Folio + recording software

greetings, I am a musician, and since I would hate to buy a usb audio interface that is incompatible with my Elite Folio as 99,99999999999999% are, any suggestions out there for a compatible one?kindly remember that the Elite Folio has a Snapdragon 8cx processor, with ARM64 architecture hence the HUUUUUGE incompatibility with 99,9999999999% of apps and hardware out there!thank you for your time!

Can't record from USB audio interface

I just upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1 and I’m trying to record using my USB audio interface. Problem is, since I upgraded it will not record from my USB interface, instead it records from my laptop’s internal microphone. I have been able to get the USB
interface to playback by setting it as my default speakers and changing the setting to “DVD quality” however that only works for playback and the recording still doesn’t work. When I open the “Sound” app it shows no green bars under record, yet continues to
show green bars for my internal mic. At my wit’s end here as I need this to work asap! Help would be appreciated.

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

HP Folio 9740m Ultrabook - No Audio


Clean install of Windows 10 with a fresh image downloaded today with the Media Creation Tool.
I've tried uninstalling HD Audio and reinstalling, and I've tried installing IDT package from HP for Win10 and no luck.
Speakers do not show up and if I plug in headphones they're not working either.
This is a refurb laptop. Should I return it??
