Windows 10: sounds keeeps coming out from speaker instead of my airpods

I have connected my airpods to my laptop but the sounds still coming out from speaker

Airpods connected but no sound

Same problem. Windows 10, fully updated as at today.

On my Windows 10 PC, Airpods Pro show as Paired and Connected, BUT no sound will play via the airpods. I've tried everything - disconnect the airpods, unpair, re-pair, re-connect, also tried disconnecting the airpods on my iphone so no possible conflict - nothing works. I've also ensured the airpods are showing (in Windows 10) as the default sound device.

But the only sound coming from the PC is coming from the PC's internal speakers. No sound is coming through the Airpods Pro. Absolutely maddening.

 

Sound comes out of laptop instead of TV when viewing a DVD

Sorry everyone, I forgot to come back to say I solved the issue! I did it like this:

• Right-click speaker icon in the tray
• Click on "Sounds"
• Go go to the "Playback" tab"

There are two speaker devices listed:

1. Digital Output (with a TV icon)
2. Speaker/HP (my laptop speakers)

I disabled Speaker/HP, and then Digital Output automatically took over, which made the sound come out of the TV. Problem solved! Thanks for the suggestions and advice that helped steer me in that direction. *Thumbs

 

Bluetooth earphone connected but sound comes through laptop speaker

Hi, I just want help on a bluetooth device issue.

I have a pair of airpods that work fine on other devices like my phone, but when I try to use it on my laptop, it connects, but when I play media the sounds don't come from the airpods, instead it comes from the laptop's speaker. I've got Windows 11.
