  1. Space on iSCSI NAS drive not available in Windows after adding drives to NAS appliance

I recently added extra storage space on my Synology RS1219+ NAS appliance that is connected to a Windows 2016 server with iSCSI. The appliance now shows the extra space, but the mapped drive in Windows still shows the original size for the disk. I cannot expand it like this. I am assuming that I need to re-initialize the iSCSI connection in Windows, but I didn't set this up and have never set up an iSCSI connection myself. Is there maybe a power shell command or an easy way to achieve this? Thanks for any input.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - NAS Drive

I have recently purchased a 4 bay NAS drive. Whilst I can access the drive with the bundled software I can't see the drive as a network attached device in the Windows 10 file explorer. I have previously had a WD Mybook Live and an LG NAS running fine in
Windows 7 & 8. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Map NAS Drive

I just purchased a new computer and would like to map my NAS drive. I was able to do this with my old computer but for some reason, the NAS does not show up as a computer on the new one. I can see the NAS drive as a media and other device but cannot map
the drive from here. It only gives me the option to view the device web page or open media player. I do allow network sharing, have enabled netbios over tcpip but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  4. Space on iSCSI NAS drive not available in Windows after adding drives to NAS appliance

NAS drive is not visible in Explorer

I have a puzzling issue. I have a laptop with Windows 8.1 (wireless attached), I have recently added a Windows 10 PC (cable attached) to temporarily replace my old server and I have update a further PC from WIN7 to WIN10 (wireless attached).

On the updated PC(WIN10) I can see the NAS drive in Explorer listed under NETWORK in the left hand pane.

Since this was updated I can no longer see the NAS drive, listed under NETWORK, in either the laptop or the temporary server replacement PC. What I have on these two devices is a NAS icon listed under NETWORK LOCATIONS in the right hand pane.

Although I can manage the NAS from all the PCs, and as such isn't a problem, I don't understand why this is and even after much trawling through of settings I can not find a reason

    Any help?

Addendum: I also have an old WIN7 PC on the network as well and that does not show the NAS drive under NETWORK and neither does it have a NETWORK LOCATIONS icon either.

There is also a satellite receiver that is on the network (I had forgotten about it as it isn't used much) and this is ONLY visible on the WIN7 PC.
