Windows 10: Spacebar Only Works when FN Key is NOT Pressed

SummeryWhen using my normal function keys, the FN key MUST be pressed. This means when gaming, the FN key must be held at all times. Problem: When the FN key is pressed my spacebar does not work. When the FN key is not pressed, the spacebar works. I understand your concern. The issue might arise if the FN key is sticking with the spacebar key or we can say, the sticky keys are turned on. In order to turn off the sticky keys, you can follow the below provided steps:

a) Press CTRL + ALT + DEL.

b) Click on the Ease of Access icon.

c) Turn off the Sticky Keys.

Check if the issue persists with the spacebar key.

Upgraded to Windows 10 on my Toshiba Satellite SATELLITE L775- PSK3SC-00W004. The spacebar only works when FN is pressed. numbers 1234 do not work either with out FN, I have Uninstalled the keyboard drivers, restart, reinstalled updated drivers, followed
your sticky key instructions, restart, but still have the same problem, You know how annoying this can be. please help.

I don't think so. I too had this problem, notice (had). Due to someone with the mental determination and knowledge and endurance, they were able to find a fix for this problem. I hope you have seen this post that fixed my toshiba with the space bar not working
with out first depressing the FN key and also the same for the 1,2,3,4 numbers required the FN key depressed to work. What you have to do, (which worked for this person and me, as well), is to uninstall the synaptics pointing device, and wa~la, my keyboard
is back to normal with all keys and functions working properly. I did not try to revert back to an earlier version of windows as everyone I read about that tried such a move, made problems much worse. Hopefully you have you "cheap toshiba" working the way
it should.

This is the original post that fixed mine and you can see the date, so I think it is a stable fix?

What works on my daughter's L775D Toshiba is to go to the task bar, click on the Synaptics pointing device icon, open Pointing Device Properties, Device Settings, then disable the Touchpad. Spacebar and other
keys (like 1 4) should then operate properly. Not sure how stable this fix is, but it works until a permanent fix is made available. Posted on 9/23/15.

Again, just uninstall the synaptics pointing device. That worked for me!
