    Spam 2FA Emails?


    I have recently started receiving quite a few emails from “Microsoft” with a 2FA code. The first few showed in my account activity details as being from the Moscow region, so were obviously hack attempts. I changed my password even though the account activity comment said that the login attempts were unsuccessful because “the password used was incorrect”. I have subsequently been getting 2FA emails daily from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** no activity is showing on my Microsoft account. Should I block the address or are these emails actually coming from Micro

    • Which email address is configured in the Mail app?

    If you have Outlook.com configured then you may refer to the suggestions provided by “Dhenz S” from this thread to check if that helps.

    You need to look at the “View installed Updates” screen to see the list of recently installed updates.

    Follow these steps to view installed updates:


    • Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Programs and Features”.

    • Click on “View Installed Updates”.

    Authy Alternatives for 2FA?

    thanks again for the detailed replies. - - - Updated - - - i'm a bit confused about the bitwarden site, Field Guide to Two-Step Login | Bitwarden Help Center they suggest using Authy themselves, lol, but it seems to suggest the 2FA 6-digit code is only available on their mobile app? or do they mean you just need it on the phone to scan the QR?

    Spam 2FA Emails?

    Outlook 2016 Spam Email

    I accidentally marked an email as spam and it got moved into my spam folder. I have tried moving it back into my inbox but when Outlook syncs, the mail moves back to my spam folder. I have tried creating a rule to move it back into my inbox, added the email address into my safe senders list and also tried rebuilding my outlook profile but I still get the same result. Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?
