Windows 10: Spam call from supposed technical department os Microsoft

Thank you for your welcome! We had a spam call through Belgian number on our landline phone, supposedly from Microsoft technical department. They have also sent us a personal badge photo. Please let us know, what is happening

Yes, I get them too either Microsoft or Windows technical department. I know exactly what they're going to say & ask me to do, I tell them instead & say I know they're scammers. They usually disconnect the call then.

Microsoft technical department call

Hi,

I just got a phone call on my landline saying that she was from Microsoft technical Department, (ID 201425). She said

my computer had been hacked

they had sent me multiple notifications that I had not responded to

she gave me then number of my computer, which she said she got from my Microsoft registration

advised me to run a CMD program

when I asked for a phone number or email address she said she was outbound contact only

she would not give me a reference number for the call, as I had not started a service

that Microsoft were going to deactivate my computer and all services linked to it.

Pretty obvious a prank, but very convincing, and probably will get a lot of people.

I think Microsoft should do some fairly heavy marketing to let people know they dont cold call people.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?
