    Spam email using my name Outlook Win 10


    I was sending a copy of an email to myself and noticed that my "number 1" suggested email had suddenly become some unknown randon email using my name.Outlook Win 10.

    Traced it back to a junk mail trying to send me an "invoice" which opened a html of a copy of the hotmail login screen asking for password confirm. Nearly had me!


    It would have been very easy to just email that first suggestion by accident. Clever. Clearly a hack scam.

    Thing is...I cant delete it in People Contacts as it doesn't appear there.I can't block it either.


    Suggestions? I want to delete it.


    Fully updated Win 10 didn't catch it.

    Outlook 2016 Spam Email

    I accidentally marked an email as spam and it got moved into my spam folder. I have tried moving it back into my inbox but when Outlook syncs, the mail moves back to my spam folder. I have tried creating a rule to move it back into my inbox, added the email address into my safe senders list and also tried rebuilding my outlook profile but I still get the same result. Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?

    • Which email address is configured in the Mail app?

    If you have Outlook.com configured then you may refer to the suggestions provided by “Dhenz S” from this thread to check if that helps.

    How to block spam emails in Outlook.com?

    You need to look at the “View installed Updates” screen to see the list of recently installed updates.

    Follow these steps to view installed updates:


    • Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Programs and Features”.

    • Click on “View Installed Updates”.

    Outlook 2016 Spam Email

    Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?

    You need to mark it as "Not Junk".

    Instructions:

    Source Mark an email message as not junk

    This is for Outlook 2010, I presume it is the same or similar for Outlook 2016.
