  1. Speaker device settings not migrated after windows reset, same speaker device has install...

I resetted my windows 11 laptop and after that the speakers stopped working. I went to device manager and clicked on the speaker device. It is a built-in speaker. In event log, it says "device settings not migrated" on the same day of reset. In the details tab, the install state is '00000000". The device is present and connected, according to details tab, but no sound comes from the speakers. Please help !!

    :)

  2. device not migrated during Windows 10 update. External speaker not working.

Original title: device not migrated during Windows 10 update

After a recent automatic update of Windows, I have lost the sound to both of my external speakers, which are connected to the computer via the headphone/speaker jack and have worked perfectly up to now. I have tried performing a system restore, but this
has not resolved the issue. The troubleshooter tells me that the device is not set as the default, however my computer will not allow me to change the setting. When I look at the update history, it repeatedly tells me that the device was not migrated. I do
not know what this means but any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

Windows 10 recognizes my UE Megaboom as a headset and not a speaker will not work?

    Hi Rachael,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

    • Pair the speaker with your PC.
    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Device Manager.

    • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
    • Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
    • Right click on the same device again and Enable.
    • Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.

    Regards,

  4. Speaker device settings not migrated after windows reset, same speaker device has install...

    Bluetooth device migration.

I recently purchased a Megacra sound bar (no drivers or updates available or needed). Connected immediately, now a few months later, doesn't work.

I currently have 2 other devices connected on Bluetooth... a Philips speaker and my Android phone. Soundbar will not migrate and initially is recognized as audio device, then displays as "other device" on Bluetooth settings device list. Went to Dell support
    and Intel, no help there.

Is there a solution beyond tinkering with device manager, drivers, re-installs, system restore, etc? I have tried all. I have a Dell Inspiron 5767, Win 10 build 1803, Intel bluetooth, Microsoft enumerator and LE enumerator. Soundbar pairs and connects
    with phone perfectly.

Any sane and rational suggestions/solutions appreciated.
