speakers retired ? now have new speaker they same message

Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

2. Select "playback devices".

3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

5. Save the changes.

Internal speakers not working - No Audio Output Device is installed

I recently upgraded to Windows 10. NOTE: This issue was happening
before I upgraded

My laptop has built-in speakers but no sound is playing through them. When I hover over the sound icon in the taskbar, it says 'No Audio Output Device is installed'

NOTE: External speakers do play sound

My laptop runs on a windows 10 OS .Yesterday i saw a red button with a cross like an X on the speaker icon located at the taskbar,which reads, no audio output device installed but my sound driver is up to date and from the device manager,under the general,it
says this device is working properly,but the laptop doesn't play any sound. No sound from speaker,headphones and headset Earphones.

I tried troubleshooting but the report was audio services not responding .
