The sound plays at normal volume then dips to near quiet, briefly and then returns to normal volume, every 10 seconds or soive disabled windows lowering volume if it detects communications activity; messed around with the sample rates the speakers use; updated the driver for high definition audio in d

    Toslink not appearing in Playback?

    Hi,

    I'm using Windows 10.

    Toslink was playing fine before watching a movie on TV with HDMI cable.

    Now the Toslink option doesn't even appear in Playback?

    What happened to the Toslink option and how do I fix this?

    Also, the regular speakers are there but will not work. When plugging in speakers the Realtek browser opens but says there is nothing plugged into the PC?

    What's happening? Thanks.

    Fluctuating Speaker Volume

    Upon clicking the link to this thread you probably thought:
    "Creative (The brand)"

    And your right *Cool speaker volume fluctuating using toslink on new pc build :cool:

    I have a pair of creative speakers running through a subwoofer which in turn is hooked up to onboard sound ports on my computer.

    Whenever I change my volume, using the dial that is also connected to the sub, I get the volume changing frequently for around 5-15 minutes.

    Why would this be?

    like the overall system volume? or just the volume of the sub?

    try just changing the volume within windows.
