Windows 10: Speakers and now headphones too not working on asus zenbook14

Yesterday my laptop was working properly sound and everything was fine. Today i turn it on and suddenly sound doesnt play. When i look into settings i can see inn the little bar that sound in fact is playing bar is constntly moving but still theres no sound. I tried plugging headphones in but still no sound there.I tried eveything but nothing helps.List of everything i have tried-set speakers as default-troubleshooting everything is working fine apparently-device manager also installed and uninstalled reltek speaker - when i went in event viewer i could see one error that now after doing

No sound from headphone on Asus K50IJ


After installing Windows 10 on an Asus K50IJ laptop, there is sound from the speakers but no sound from the headphone.
Headphone is working on other computers, there seems to be no obvious reason for this, so drivers are OK, etc.
Can anyone suggest a solution other then buying an USB headphone or sound card?

Hi, what sort of headphones are they? Plain ordinary analogue.. USB..?
Do they require a driver? If so, is it installed ok?

There are several threads about headphone issues on this forum, so suggest you also try searching the forum for 'headphones'. May give you a clue.
