Windows 10: Specific problem

When I first got my hp laptop 2 years ago some keys didn’t work so I tried “updating” the windows and after I updated it, my computer wouldn’t let me do anything and everytime I clicked on something it would refresh my whole laptop, I just stopped using my windows completely and today I tried logging in and it doesn’t allow me to log in with my pin and I tried reseting it but it says something went wrong and to try again later, please help.

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

Windows 10 search for a specific folder name and file name

Carlos: Thanks for your reply. What you suggest is what I have been doing. I search for folders with a specific name and get a list. Then I have to search each folder for a specific file. So it's a two step search and that's what I was trying to avoid.

I assume there are applications out there that allow for an "AND" search in Windows. I'll try that approach.

Run HDtune (free version) on you hard drive. but most likely that the problem. You can also test your memory with Memtest86 as suggested above
