Windows 10: Specific USB port does not detect any mouse input, but it works fine with keyboards and...

Issue started pretty recently - my laptop has 3 USB ports. Two of them work fine with any usb connection, but one of them refuses to detect any input from any type of wired mouse. It works fine with typing from an external keyboard, but nothing happens when I plug in a mouse. I've already tested this and found that it happened to 2 separate mice.

I posted this 4 months ago when I first upgraded but I found a temporary fix so I didn't follow up, but I would really like to resolve this.

After I upgraded to Windows 10, my mouse and keyboard wouldn't turn on when I plugged them in. They turn on for about a second and then turn off. The only way I can get them to work is by plugging them into a USB hub and plugging that into my computer. Plugging
the mouse and keyboard directly in doesn't work.

I've troubleshooted the issue and it detects 4 "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller has a driver problem" but isn't able to fix them. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my mouse and keyboard drivers but the problem is still there.

Never had this problem or any problem with my USB ports or mouse or keyboard until I upgraded to 10. Also might add that my speakers plug in via USB and work fine.
