Windows 10: Specify files and folders that should be ignored for syncing by specifying names, types,...

The IT department of the University I work at hence, I'm a user, not an admin is currently migrating from OwnCloud/NextCloud to OneDrive/Sharepoint and I am wondering is there an equivalent to NextCloud's ignore-files .sync_exclude.lst? I am frequently in a situation where I don't want certain folders and files to be synced AND I also don't want that those folders and files are synced at any other machines working in the same repository. Think auto-generated folders such as npm's node_modules and package-lock.json, or Intellisense Databases from Visual Studio, or the Libraries. I do realiz

The system cannot find the file specified

In my downloads folder uis a file/folder

I try to delete a file/folder gets message *The system cannot find the file specified.*

files/folder will not delete





Suggestions? Ideas?

 

How to sync specific file folders?

In WMDC, is it possible to specify that all files in a specified folder X on the PC be synced to a specified folder Y on the mobile device? I could not find this option. Any suggestions how this may be accomplished? Are there any possibilities of installing
a plugin to do this?

Unfortunality, it is not possible to do just what you want. In fact it might be easier to manually transfer files you need back and forth if they are constantly being changed on the PC and Device ... just develop a naming standard so youu know the latest
revision.
