Windows 10: Speech dictation does not work

Hi, I encountered a problem with dictation.I have been using this dictation for a long time, but these days it does not work with the prompt "You'll need the Internet for this." But the Internet connection is good and I also opened this function. Another information is that I found the build-in dictation function in Microsoft Word shortcut: alt+` can work, but it does not work with the shortcut Win+H. I hope you can help me figure this out. Thanks a lot!

Dictation not working.

Please provide some additional information, so that we can assist you better.

1. Are you using dictation in Windows or Office application?
   
2. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
3. Did you make any changes to the computer before this issue started?
   

I suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps:

Step 1: To dictate text:

1. Open Speech Recognition by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking Windows Speech Recognition.

2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

3. Open the program you want to use or select the text box you want to dictate text into.

4. Say the text that you want dictate.

Dictation - Random Capitilization

Hi TFLJ,

It's possible that Dictation listens and analyzes your words in phrases or context clues. It is important to state the word clearly.

By the way, since when did this behavior start? Have you made any changes or installed any updates on your computer before this issue?

In order for us to sort this out, I suggest setting the Dictation to make all the letters in a word lowercase. Once this is enabled, try dictating again and see if it still randomly capitalizes letters or words.

If the issue persists, then it is best that you train again your PC to recognize your speech. Follow these steps:

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Click Ease of Access > Speech Recognition.
3. Under Configure your Speech Recognition experience, click the link Train your computer to better understand you option.
4. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

Windows 10 Speech Dictation not doing commands

I am using dictation in Word 2016 and no, the microphone on the Dell works perfect in Zoom and other applications. None of the commands work well in Word.
