Windows 10: speech recognition keeps activating along with the new voice access, How do I get rid of it??

I switched off everything I can think of. I just want voice access. Voice recognition still turns on on start up! Putting aside the incompetence of those involved in the upgrading process. Anyone know any effective way to remedy this?

The issue might be due to settings on your computer. Let’s refer to the following suggestion and check the issue status.

Refer to these steps and check the issue status.

• 
  Press Windows and X keys together.
  
• 
  Click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Open Control Panel then Speech Recognition Options.
  
• 
  In the upper right of the Speech Recognition Option window click
  Advanced Speech Options.
  
• 
  Remove the checkmark next to, ‘Allow computer to review your documents’.
  
• 
  Click Apply and click OK

  Are you referring to voice recorder or Windows speech recognition?
  

I would suggest you to run the run the inbuilt app troubleshooter.

Follow the steps:

• 
  Press “Windows” + “X” and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting and select View all on left hand side of the screen.
  
• 
  Select the Windows Store App and follow the instruction to troubleshoot.

Speech recognition keeps going to sleep mode

I understand that Speech Recognition goes to sleep automatically. I’ll certainly help you with this issue.



It could be possible that Speech Recognition is unable to recognize your voice properly, you can try training Speech Recognition for your voice and see if that helps. To do this, right click on the Microphone icon of
Speech Recognition, select Configure and select
Improve voice recognition. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the training process.

If you are facing issues in using the Microphone, I would suggest you to refer the article on

Fix microphone problems.



You can also try running the Troubleshooter and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Update & Security and select
   Troubleshoot on the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down and click on Speech and select
   Run the troubleshooter.
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
