Windows 10: Speech Recognition not working

When I enter Win+H brings up the voice-to-text prompt, but every time I get "You'll need the internet for this. It doesn't look like you're connected to the Internet. Check your connection and try again. 0x800704cf" Internet is on and connected, Speech Recognition in Privacy & Security Settings is turned on. A couple of years ago Microsoft said it was a server problem that would be fixed in days. It is now weeks. July 3, 2024

I would suggest you to follow the steps to see Advance speech options.

• Press Windows+X key on the keyboard
• Click on control panel
• Select speech recognition
• On the left hand pane you will see Advance speech option

Try the following steps to uncheck the Run Speech Recognition at startup option from the Speech Recognition:

• Type Speech Recognition in the search bar and select the Speech Recognition from the list.
• Click on the Advanced speech options from the left pane.
• Uncheck mark on Run Speech Recognition at startup.
• Click on Apply and Ok.
