I don't get it, so those in the "Know" I am sure will explain it....SSD as Bootable\OS system; I have the Quicken software installed on the on a 2nd Internal HDD and it Saves its data on the HHD. So this install, the Quicken software and its data is on the HDD...software opened and loaded data ready for use in 14 secondsI decided to replace the 2nd HDD with a SSD....cloned the HDD to the SSD; thoughts were Quicken would load faster. This Install Quicken opened and loaded its data ready for use in 13 seconds.I really thought the SSD would load Quicken...much faster than the HDD...but the diff

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds

geforce experience takes an age to load..

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.

Slow download speeds using External Win2USB SSD: Hello, Every time I fresh install windows 10 on to my external SSD for gaming, the download speeds are fine around 12/mb (should be getting 15mb/s). Data transfer speeds: Morning all. Opinions needed, please... Is it best to simply install a USB 3.0 card into my computer (connect various USB drives to it), or buy a QNAP TS-231P for storage and backups? The USB 3.0 would be quicker for data transfer, versus the QNAP over LAN, no? PS: I...

  10. Using an SSD as a USB Data Drive

in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware
Using an SSD as a USB Data Drive: I have an "old" SSD (250 GB Samsung 840 EVO) available to use as a USB 3 data drive for some not-too volatile data - a Lightroom data catalog that benefits from being fast to read and write. I formatted it and put a 220 GB NTFS partition on it - leaving about 16 GB...
