    Speed transfer decreases over time??


    Hello guys, hope everyone is doing okay in this weird moments we are going through. I wanted to share a little problem I'm having and can't seem to find the solution.

    I got a 8TB WD External Drive a few months ago, what I noticed after some use, is that when transfering files, for some reason, after a while, it drops the transfer rate exactly by half. It does hold a good rate of 160 MB/S and as you can see in the screenshoot, after a while of transfering, it drops the speed to 75-80 MB/S.

    Does anyone have any idea why could that be happening? Thanks in advance and keep safe!

    Download speed decreased to 0.2mbit (from 6mbit) after upgrade from Win8 to Win10

    Hello,

    im experiencing very strange problem because download speed after upgrade to Win10 has decreased. Upload speed is still about 20Mbit/sec. I tried following:

    • multiple network devices- Primary is LAN adapter, secondary LTE phone. Altough the ping is different and upload speed on LTE phone network is slower, both network connections suffer from very low speed (0.2Mbit). And yes, I tried different pc and
    • newest drivers installed
    • dns cleared
    • antivirus uninstalled, no malware found. No improvement in speed either
    • p2p update redistribution disabled
    Before reverting back to Windows81, do you have any suggestions?

    Since I have upgraded my HP Notebook-15-bs540tu with the latest upgrade of windows 10, my data transfer speed has decreased.

    Hi,

    One of the possible reason that this issue occurs is due to the driver compatibility after Windows upgrade. For us to isolate the issue, we’ll need the following details:

    • What type of data transfer speed are you referring to? Is it internet connection speed or file transfer speed?
    • If you are referring to file transfer speed, are you using USB drive or Bluetooth to process file transfer? or,
    • If you are referring to internet connection speed, are you using Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi?
    • Can you tell us any troubleshooting you've done so far?

    We'll be waiting for your response.
