Windows 10: Speedtest.net mystery

Here's a mystery involving a Dell 6420 notebook PC running Windows 10. It involves Ookla Speedtest.

Using the Windows 10 Speedtest app installed from the Microsoft store, that app shows no faster than 60mbps internet downloads. No matter whether I'm using a 5G wifi link or an ethernet cable, there's a 60 mbps speed limit using the Windows 10 Speedtest app. However, using a web browser connected to Speedtest.net, I get 5g wifi downloads of 150mbps,

Using another desktop PC I easily get 450 mbps downloads using the Windows 10 Speedtest app.

I've shared these results with Ookla speedtest. So far there's been no response.

Microsoft .NET Framework, Unhandled exception

I suggest you to un-check and recheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series from Windows features.

Try the following steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
• Type Appwiz.cpl and select "turn Windows feature on or off" from the left
• Uncheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer
• Repeat step 1 and 2 and check .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer.

Speedtest Ap connection failure

Thank you for the excellent suggestion to upgrade Windows 10 to the 1809 version.
This operation appears to require more time than I can give it at the moment, but I will attempt it at some point.

In the meanwhile, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Speedtest App, but to no avail.
Then I tried to contact Ookla / Speedtest—not an easy thing to do.
(I am neither a Twitter nor a Facebook user. Yes, I know, it’s shocking.)

.NET Framework 1.0 updates install every day

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1 I suggest you to run Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on windows update.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2 I also suggest you to uncheck the
.NET Framework 1.0 and restart the computer and check if issue persists,

Please follow the steps below:

• 
  Right click on start menu and click on programs and features.
  
• 
  Click Turn windows features on or off.
  
• 
  Uncheck .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework services.
  
• 
  Click on ok.
  

Once, you have unchecked these, Please restart your computer and recheck
the .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework services andcheck.
