Windows 10: SPELL CHECKER DOESN'T WORK

I'm having a problem with my MS word's spelling checker. It doesn't check incorrect spelling as I type.


I tried several times to change settings from the proofing tab. Whenever I unchecked "hide the spelling errors for this document or all documents, and click OK, and after restarting the word document, the settings revert to HIDE SPELL CHECK FOR THIS DOCUMENT.

Spell Checker not working in Mail or Word Windows 10

The spelling checker is working in my Windows 10 Mail, and gives suggest corrections in a list, but there is no ADD function shown, to add the word to a custom dictionary. Office 365 Spell checker has this capability and saves the 'new' word to 'custom.dic'
and 'roamingdefault.dic. Mail seems to have this function, as the 'misspelt' word is at the bottom of the suggested alternatives but with a + in front of it. I assume this will then add it to a Mail custom dictionary but I can find no reference to what its
file name is or where is it located, so I cannot go and edit it, which I can do with the Office 365 dictionary.

IE 11 Spell Checker not working.

Hi All,

Spell Checker on IE is not working on multiple machines, the version of IE is 11.64.16299.0 (Update version 11.0.18 (KB4047206)

OS version Windows 10 1709 OS build 16299.64

Typing setting for Autocorrect misspelled words is ON and highlight misspelled words are ON.

There is no IE Addins for spell checker.

Spell Checker is working on Office products.

Please help!!!!
