Windows 10: Spell Checker for Outlook.Live Web Email not working.

Although incorrect spelling of words do show as you type them, the ability to left click them and correct them has gone. When I do left click a word then all that happens is that all words with errors lose their red highlighting.

Not sure when this started if I'm honest. Spell checking on sites such as this is still working fine. It just seems to be on Outlook.Live where there is a problem.

Using Edge browser and the now on latest public W10 release. Edge settings themselves are unchanged and Spell Check is enabled there.

Images show that words are recognised as incorrect and second image shows what happens when just one word is clicked.

Spell Checker missing in web "Outlook"(IE11). BUT functional on all other web pages

Followed your recommendation through step 3

In Step 4 'Click the Internet Explorer spell check add-on, and then click
Enable'

I have no 'IE spell check add-on'...in fact I have no IE11 add-ons, what so ever listed as available when I click
Show and click "All add-ons". As stated earlier I do have the spell checker available on other web pages, and in the "contents" of creating an email.

Just have no spell checker correction available in/for the "subject line" of an email...see attachment below

Windows Live Mail spelling checker problem


I am using Windows 10 and Windows Live Mail.

I cannot get the spelling checker to work. Whist the Icon shows on the toolbar it is dimmed out.

I have set Live Mail up to check my spelling before sending out an e-mails but this does not happen either.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is please.

Spell Checker not working in Mail or Word Windows 10

The spelling checker is working in my Windows 10 Mail, and gives suggest corrections in a list, but there is no ADD function shown, to add the word to a custom dictionary. Office 365 Spell checker has this capability and saves the 'new' word to 'custom.dic'
and 'roamingdefault.dic. Mail seems to have this function, as the 'misspelt' word is at the bottom of the suggested alternatives but with a + in front of it. I assume this will then add it to a Mail custom dictionary but I can find no reference to what its
file name is or where is it located, so I cannot go and edit it, which I can do with the Office 365 dictionary.
