    Spelling check in Notepad is American despite all settings being British


    When I type "colour" into Notepad, it tells me I'm wrong by underling the word in red. I'm not American. My spelling is correct.My Windows settings: - Display Languge = English United Kingdon - Prefereed Language = English United Kingdom, with US at a lower precedence - Country or Region = United KingdonIs there another setting I can change to make the spell check respoect my language?

    Spell Check to Notepad

    Hi Jann,

    We acknowledge that you would like to check the spelling of the words you would be typing using Notepad. Currently, there are no add-ins provided for notepad to have a spell checker.

    We would suggest checking the post of SpiritX MS MVP from this
    thread     for possible options that can assist you with your concern.

    Spell check and the language settings for that are almost always per application unfortunately.
