    Split screen/Multitasking


    When I multi-task on my HP Envy 17inch, one side of the screen is considerably darker than the other. The active screen is lit up, but the inactive is dark. How do I fix this?

    Disable Split Screen on Windows 10

    I have followed the directions above (settings, multitasking, off) and still have a horizontal split screen. Any other suggestions.?

    I got into a vertical split screen by accident, how do I get back to a single screen ?

    Hello,

    Just to verify, are you referring to the Snap Assist feature where a you split a program window for multitasking? If this is the case for you, check out the steps below on how to permanently disable the Snap Assist:

    • Go to Settings
    • Click System
    • Click Multitasking
    • Set "When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it" to Off.
