    Some Sporadic "Silent" Crash Causing Start Menu Failure Plus Edge and Other Store Apps to Fail To Start; dwm.exe

    My PC exhibits a frequent yet sporadic crash that occurs without an apparent event that I am sure is directly related to these failures. Other than one indicator could be a dwm.exe crash that occurs also frequently.

    • sfc and dism scans pass successfully
    • I use nVidia latest display drivers + intel 4600 onboard display driver
    • version 1511 10586.71
    Where is more information or incite about what is causing a bug of this nature where sporadically the start menu begins to fail and at the same time all the store apps fail?

    • a reboot or logout then login is enough to temporarily bring back functionality of the PC
    • this bug began immediately after the 1511 upgrade and I have done extensive troubleshooting

    GPU-Z 0.8.7 crash on launch

    W1zzard is asking you to test so that he can suggest next steps and be able to troubleshoot the issue you have.
    If another version works, it would be one set of steps.
    If several other versions also fail/crash, then it would be another.
