Windows 10: Spotlight background not refreshing on Windows 11

When I select the 'Spotlight' option to change my background, I expect to see a variety of refreshing wallpapers on my Windows 11 desktop. However, despite waiting for 24 hours, I have only been seeing the same standard Windows 11 wallpaper, which is not what I had hoped for. This is the experience i been getting lately :-

Hi, have you ever removed Edge?

Sometimes this might happen because there's a MS server issue. However, what you say above suggests something else may be amiss.

N.B. after resetting Spotlight as Bree suggests, it may take several days (in my experience) before it starts working again.

One of the possible reasons why your laptop is not asking if you like the spotlight choice might be because the Windows spotlight is not set as your lock screen background. To address this concern, we suggest enabling Windows spotlight as your lock screen
background. To do so, follow these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Personalization and then select Lock screen.
• Under Background, click on the drop down menu and make sure to click on Windows spotlight.
