Windows 10: Spotlight desktop Windows 11 stopped working suddenly and the Spotlight desktop icon is not...

I own a Dell 7530 with Windows 11 Pro. I've had this laptop for a bit longer than two years and so far everything has been all right. But since about four days ago, Spotlight Desktop stopped working. The wallpaper on the desktop is the same dawn picture, the icon of Spotlight disappeared and every time I go to settings and try to change over and over again to spotlight it just does nothing.I've tried all the solutions I've been finding on these forums so far, but none works. I have been reading this is a common issue and some of those solutions have worked for some people but not for me. Is an

Windows spotlight desktop icon is missing

I have latest build of windows 11 22H2 version.

few months ago, when the windows spotlight for desktop was introduced, it had few glitches. one of them was where i had the option to delete the desktop icon saying "learn more about this picture" (it was a temporary bug in explorer where it gave me the option to delete it).

i by mistake deleted it and its gone forever now. i reinstalled spotlight using PowerShell, but still doesn't work. Even tried registry but nope...

Can anyone tell me if i would have to reinstall whole Windows for just a small desktop spotlight icon or is there any other way?

The picture set updates every 24 hours. The next update would arrive in 22 hours. It isn't like you would get an infinite set of photos; it is some(5?) Image per day.

Later in the day, we will replace Whitehaven Beach with a collection of up to five background pictures from around the world. This could take up to 24 hours. If you hover over the Spotlight icon, you can learn more about each picture. Right-clicking on the Spotlight icon on the desktop opens a context menu where you can switch to a different background picture as well as tell us whether you like or don’t like one of the pictures. Windows spotlight images (Lock screen)

I updated this to fix an issue where images already in the folder would be swapped back to no extension making them unreadable again.
