  1. SQL necessary on Windows 10 Pro?

I just uninstalled my old CRM from my PC with Window 10 Pro and replaced it with an web-based CRM. The old CRM ACT! needed SQL to run. The only apps that I use on my machine that may have any relationship with SQL are Office 365.

Is there any reason for me to keep SQL on my machine or should I uninstall it? If there is a reason to keep SQL, does it need to be in my startup menu?

    Thanks.

Upgrade SQL Server 2014 Developer on Windows 10 Pro

I do not want to duplicate a forum thread. One of Microsoft MVP guys suggested to ask a question at Windows 10 updates and SQL Server forum. Therefore I just post a link to my original thread

I do not know where to post it. I apologize if I violate forum rules

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

SQL necessary on Windows 10 Pro?

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond SQL necessary on Windows 10 Pro? :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
