    I get the error message of "Version string portion was too short or too long."


    I've uninstalled all previous versions of SQL and removed any references to .net framework.


    Windows10-64bit, I5-3GHZ, 16GB ram


    How do I get past this install error?

    I have error while installing SQL Server Developer Edition.

    Unable to install SQL Server (setup.exe).

    Exit code (Decimal) -2068119551 Error description SQL Server Browser configuration for feature 'SQL_Engine_Core_Inst_sql_engine_core_inst_Cpu64' was cancelled by user after a previous installation failure.
