Windows 10: Srt trail error: A hard disk could not be found.

Hi,

Recently I came back to my PC after a few days away and upon turning it out it would not boot into windows. I received the srttrail error message "A hard disk could not be found. If a hard disk is installed, it is not responding. So far I have not been able to fix the problem, I am not even able to reset windows as the console says that no versions of windows are installed. In my BIOS, the hard drive does show up in the boot sequence so I am very confused as to why it is not working. Any help would be much appreciated.

3rd master hard disk error

Ugh, i just got that on my dads pc, he was ripping a dvd to his external hdd to play off the ps3, when we rebooted it he got a 3rd master hard disk error.

Anybody got any suggestions?

I reset the cmos for about 5 minutes thinking thats all i needed to do, but that didn't happen.

Do removable disks leave a discoverable trail on the hard drive?

Do removable disks leave a discoverable trail of their contents (in whole or in part) on the hard drive after they have been (1) stored down to the removable disk and (2) the disk taken out of the computer?

Logic would seem to dictate that the entire disk contents are probably is stored on the hard drive during the process of document creation or disk extraction. If so, documents would be equally discoverable by forensic examination on either the hard drive
or the removable disk, without the presence of the other. True or false? If not, why not?
