Windows 10: Srttrail.txt error with "frozen" BSOD

Hello!


This morning I logged into my PC to resume edits on a novel, and suddenly a blue screen flashed before my eyes with a message I didn't have time to read. The PC shut down, did an automatic repair thing, diagnostic, and said Automatic Repair couldn't fix it. Got e:\recovery\windowsre\winre.wim\system\logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt notice.


There is the Advanced Options button, but no mouse cursor comes up to get to it. I tried to tab over and I tried to use arrow keys, but I can't get over to that Advanced Options button. And while it appears that Shutdown is preselected, I can't even use that. I press enter and nothing happens. I have to manually shut it down.


I tried that hard restart suggestion, but it doesn't work. No matter how many times I restart, it just goes to the Automatic Repair thing. There is no loop, as far as the PC restarting on it's own. Once it gets to the BSOD, there it stays, mocking me until I shut it down with the power button.


I've decided to do a reinstall but no option to boot from disc or usb comes up, pressing F8 does nothing.


I hadn't a chance to backup my latest edits, so I'm pretty bummed. Is there any hope here? Appreciate any help I can get!

i was trying the system restore and it says something that i must enable system protection

srt\srttrail\.txt problem .... but

Hello guys, I have encountered the srt\srttrail\.txt problem but with a slight variant ... I can't access the startup settings ...once I follow the usual path until the part where you press restart so that the menu will appear after rebooting, my computer
boots 'normally' and starts automatically the reparation, without giving me any choice !

I did not recently instal any hardware, but I have logitech wireless mouse, I heard the problem might be about drivers with wrong signatures ..

I need your help guys, and I'm not the only one having this problem ..
