  1. SSD and GPT Corruption Error

Hello, I have recently installed a 2 TB M.2. When you first plug it in, it shows up under "Create and Format Disk Partitions." However, once you shut off and turn the computer back on at a later date, this PC will not run and I get a "GPT header corruption" error. Then after some time, when I try to turn on the computer after shutting it off, the computer works, but the 2 TB from the M.2 are nowhere to be found.

    :)

  2. Cannot convert GPT to MBR.

    Hi Michael,

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

This method you have to backup all your data and delete all partitions and volumes. Then use the
    DISKPART command.

    • Open command prompt and type in DISKPART and press Enter
    • Then type in list disk (Note down the number of disk you want to convert to GPT)
    • Then type in select disk number of disk
    • Finally type in convert gpt.
Hope the information helps. Do reply if you need further assistance.

    Windows 10 installation issue: GPT

It'd be a little tricky to unplug the second SSD, assuming it's there as you told, as I'm using a laptop.

In btw, I've noticed that even if delete the partitions and then proceed with the installation, as a first step of the process, these gpt partitions are created again and the system trying to load the os in the fourth primary partition of disk 0 and finally
    getting the error.

It's caught in kind of a loop!

Please also note the error logs I've posted.

    Thanks.

  4. SSD and GPT Corruption Error

GPT vs MBR for SSD OS Disk ? (win7 install)

    So

I've got a new PC coming and this time it's the first time I will be using UEFI, i have read all the big stuff but I don't have the hardware yet so It's still kind of half baked but I'll do dig deep into it once I start building in the coming days.

I've read the win7 install guides, MS GPT FAQs (not fully yet), etc,

But I wish to know if:

I can use UEFI as an upgraded bios without having to use GPT disk format?

GPT disks can have any sort of partition cloning for full operational OS backup ?

Will GPT format improve performance on SDD or improve reliability in terms of data integrity or error rate?

When isntalling win7 with MBR but using UEFI, will it work normally without needing to uefi-boot the window7 install?

If I cannot backup my OS in a 100% clone that will boot normally when recovered, i will probably not use GPT, that shit is a step backward.
