Windows 10: SSD Drive its locked by BitLocker Encrypted

Went to create an image of the SSD and its locked the drive , when I go to Computer mangment it tells me its BitLocker Encryptedso I went on the hunt via command line, this does not make alot of sense to me, we are trying to recover the data, But it says it is encrypted but not locked, and no key found eitherIf I can't get into C: drive then why does regedit still come up ?

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.

SSDs and Bitlocker Encryption

Seen that too and was just wanting to know if this works as expected. Also still trying to understand the difference between a Self-Encrypting Hard Drive and an Encrypted Hard Drive for Windows. All new to me. Just buying a system with the following drives and trying to work out how I will encrypt them. As I am buying a new PC to run Windows 11 (as I understand it updated including a TPM) I was hoping that hardware encrytption of these drives could be relied upon.

• Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD (3500/3300)
• Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD (3500/3300)
• Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD Solid State Drive

 

Bitlocker Drive Encryption

Recently I was attempting to encrypt my drive with bitlocker because windows was suggesting to encrypt them via the security page when logging into my account. Though, when I do attempt to encrypt them with bitlocker it states that my drive is already
encrypted via bitlocker. I was wondering if there was a different way that it needs to be set up because I was hoping to add the extra layer of security to my drives with bitlocker encryption and password protecting them via a recovery key.
