  1. SSD FRIED OR WHAT?

So my computer was blue screened, a friend helped me out and said my ssd was fried. I replaced it, but when turned on it won’t connect to the internet. Afterwards it stopped working after rebooting a couple of times. It then turned blue again and the stop code is KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION. It won’t turn on anymore. Any ideas? Please help!!

    :)

    Think I fried my 2500K :'(

I'm cautiously optimistic that you haven't fried it. You've removed the battery as has been suggested, which is great. I'd like to also add that you should move the cmos clear link over, as described in the mobo manual. It's not clear from the posts above if you've actually done this bit. If not, it's a very important step to try.

Pretty sure Windows 10 fried my SSD

Just thought I'd mention that a clean install of Win10 fried my ssd too.

    Lovely.

    Hi Marcin,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

You may also update the motherboard chipset drivers to check if that helps.

Refer the below steps to update the driver.

    • Press “Windows + X” and select Device manager.
    • Select “Processors” and expand the driver icon.
    • Right click on the “chipset driver” icon and click on
      Update
      .
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.
    • Restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Further, I suggest you to perform a Clean install of Windows on the current SSD using an ISO file and check if the issue gets resolved. Further you can go for a disk change.
Refer the thread link below for steps to perform a Clean install.

Note: For activation issues after the installation you may contact the phone activation support.
