    SSD full on my 1 month old laptop


    My SSD is full, one month after purchasing the laptop. There are no large files on it, no app, purely used for work and I use Currys Cloud storage. I have just installed TreeSize to check where the issue lies and 188.5GB is under User>AppData>Local>Livedrive>LD>0110028522784 and inside here are thousands of small MB files. What on earth is going on? How do I get rid of them to get my storage back and what even are they?memst

    100% disk usage on 1 month old laptop running windows 10

    Hi there

    My laptop is 1 month old and has been upgraded to windows 10. It has started to use 100% of disk on startup and sporadically after the initial switching on of the laptop. It is making my laptop hard to use so wondered if anyone had any suggestions

    I have read various forums and disabled things like superfetch and windows search and none of these have helped me.

    Any new suggestions?

    Clean Install on 1-month old Surface Laptop

    Another one-month new issue [emoji849]

    Santa gave me a new i7 Surface Laptop that I immediately upgraded to W10 Pro. Well, I seem to have a weekly BSD, and many suggestions online say to try a clean OS install. I do nothing on this machine that my lower spec'd Lenovo and MBP can't handle without blinking.

    I'm running the media creation tool now. Any suggestions before I move forward? Or any detractors who think I should take a different approach? Thanks.

    New windows 10 installtion on New SSD - wont boot unless old SSD present

    It seems you installed Windows while the both SSDs were connected. This would have caused your current problem. Maybe it is sufficient to do this:

    1. Launch the Disk Manager.
    2. Right-click drive C:, then mark it as "active".
    3. Shut down Windows
    4. Open the BIOS and tell it that the new SSD is the primary boot device.
    5. Disconnect the old SSD.
    6. Boot up normally.

    If this does not work then you might have to do this:

    1. Disconnect the old SSD.
    2. Re-install Windows on the new SSD, using the Media Creation Tool.
