Windows 10: Ssd hidden in boot menu after first restart with fresh win11

hello everyone, i need some help with my msi pe60 laptop running win11 . i bought a Nvme ssd 970 evo , installed it everything work good but when i restarted my laptop it directly go in bios menu again and again. nd i try to change boot sequence i can't see my ssd in booth menu . but when itry to install window again at partition step i can see ssd working taking space for the window i installed but i dontknow why can't see in boot menu to boot up......

External SSD not getting recognized in the boot menu by Windows 11 laptop



I recently purchased a gaming laptop, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 for programming and running Linux.

I had previously setup an internal SSD (with a case) with ubuntu and wanted to use it with this device. But it is not getting recognized in the boot menu.

The laptop came pre-installed with Win11. The external SSD is from GigaByte and is working fine when viewed from another laptop and from live ubuntu. I have tried updating the boot version.

What can I do? Could it be the problem with Win 11 because the other laptop had Win10 and that was working well?

I want the SSD to be recognized in the boot menu, so I can run ubuntu.

WHAT I HAVE TRIED TILL NOW:

• The external SSD is working fine when run on another laptop.
  
• I have tried updating the bios version, but it is for Win10 and doesn't work with Win11.
  
• I tried using live ubuntu on this laptop, and all the partitions are getting detected there correctly.
  
• I have tried updating the boot version, thinking that it must be the problem. But the latest version on Lenovo's site is for Win10.
  
• I tried googling to upgrade the SSD, but found out I didn't have to. Cause this is a software issue.
  
• I tried updating to eh latest BIOS using Lenovo's site
  

 

Why does Win11 automatically defrag my SSDs? Is it safe for SSDs lifespan?

No no: Wise Registry Cleaner doesn't defrang the SSD, instead it warns that Win11 is set to "defrag system on boot", to "auto defrag SSD when idle", and that Win11 prefetch parameters could shorten SSDs lifespan. Is that true? Is it possible that WRC is wrong about Win11 settings?

The point is that WRC suggests to disable these three Win11 settings. So what should I so? Should I ignore WRC (and letting Win11 as it is), or instead should I disable those three settings via WRC?
