    SSD no longer initializes, "unallocated space"


    After a crash, my secondary SSD not the one used to run Windows no longer appears on File Explorer. Windows' Disk Management program claims it needs to be initialized; however, every time I attempt to do so, there is no change. What might be causing this, and what can I do to fix it?Also, is it true that initializing a disk wipes its data? If so, how can I backup the data inside the SSD, considering that I can't access it except through the Disk Manager as far as I can tell?

    Unallocated Space on my SSD

    You shouldn't have to, I've done this before without even rebooting the machine I was doing it on. However, the unallocated space has to be right next to the volume you want to expand, and it has to be marked as unallocated not just "free space".

    Do you have more than one volume on the SSD, or is it just the C Drive?

    Unallocated Space on my SSD

    Okay, whenever I cloned over my HDD to my SSD, it created a 25GB Partition that I was able to remove via Disk Management, but now I have 25GB of unallocated disk space, how do I add that to my C:/ drive?
