  1. SSD not being detected in boot order in uefi mode

Recently I had a virus attack on my pc which led it to completely wipe my pc including the drive with windows in it. This led me to redownloading windows from from a hdd I had lying around. First that wasnt detected in uefi boot more but was detected in legacy. So I thoughts it's fine and chose to ignore it and continue with installing windows on my SSD which is pretty new, so that is not failing by that hdd. Everything went fine and it installed and even booted up but being a lonely a** gamer i wanted to play valorant and several other games. All of them has the same requirement of TPM whic

Legacy or UEFI Boot mode for new SATA SSD?

If I change the boot mode for my new SSD from Legacy to UEFI, will there be any problem with my old HDD as it was configured with Legacy boot mode? Will it get detected by the system or not? Or any other issues?

SSD not identifible in UEFI mode

Go ahead and install Windows 10 in UEFI GPT mode. When the install finishes boot to your bios and make sure that Windows Boot Manager is listed first in the Boot order list. That is how UEFI works, unlike MBR the disk itself is not the boot device, the EFI partition is the bootable device which points to the bootloader on the disk.

    AsRock Z77 Pro3 - AHCI? UEFI?

UEFI is a new standard of bios design, so that would probably be what the BIOS has listed as the first boot option, where ACHI is a mode that SATA controllers run, and that is probably listing drives by order of first to last by port order. Not sure why it would list that way (if my guess is right as to how/why it is listing the drives).
