  1. SSD seen as USB device

I have installed a SSD into the dvd slot of my HP laptop. When I tried to install Windows 10 on it, it gave me the message that "you can't install windows on a usb flash drive". I checked and noticed that my SSD actually *is* recognized as a removable usb storage device. Can anyone help me with this issue? I need to run Windows 10 from the SSD to speed up the laptop. Can someone walk me through how to get Windows 10 to stop recognizing my SSD as a USB storage device? Thanks.

    :)

  2. USB sound/midi device not recognized

I have a Technics PR804 keyboard attached to my Windows 10 laptop through USB. I've installed the drivers that came with my keyboard by entering compatibility mode to Windows ME, but the device manager won't recognize the hardware when it's turned on and
plugged into my laptop. I've seen instructions online indicating that device manager should identify the keyboard as a sound device, and that I should be able to choose folder location for correct driver, but can't complete this step as device manager does
not list the keyboard as an available device.

    Any suggestions?

  4. SSD seen as USB device

External SSD drive Not configured correctly as a USB Mass Storage Device.

    Hi,

Let us isolate your concern by answering the questions below:

    • Have you tried to use the SSD on another computer to check if the same thing happens?
    • Is your SSD USB 2.0 or 3.0?
    • Do you have other similar SSDs with the same connection type that show up differently when you connect them?
In the meantime, we suggest that you install the chip set driver from your device's manufacturer to check if the issue persists. You may refer to this
link to find out how to get in touch directly with your device's manufacturer.

    Looking forward to your response.
