Windows 10: SSD with windows install on PC just stopped working in the middle of the night. Help.

PC was fine, left it on but shut the monitor off and went to bed. In the morning, there was a "Reboot and select proper boot device" error. I can access my BIOS, and the SSD where windows 10 home is installed is apparently not working correctly if at all. In DOS, the drive i default to is now labeled as drive "X" instead of "C". In my BIOS boot settings, the drive does not appear in Boot priority list, or in storage device list even when connected.I tore my chassis apart, checked all the data/power cables for that SSD and everything appears normal and is still properly connected.my only gue

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

How to stop boots in the middle of the night

For sometime, when I power down my computer it restarts itself later or in the middle of the night. How do I stop this? Using WIN10 Pro Version 20H2.

P.S. Computer is not sleeping or hibernating.

Hi everyone,

New windows installation, the PC keeps waking in the middle of the night. I have done all the steps needed like disabling wake up timers in power settings, disabling power management on all devices, etc and everything else that there is on the net.

powercfg /wake timers command outputs this:

Timer set by [PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\StartMenuExperienceHost.exe expires at 04:00:00 on .

And i have found zero ways to disable it. There is in another post in this forum that mentions a registry edit on a CSEnable variable but this variable no longer exists on the latest version on windows.

So if anyone has any ideas about this it would be very helpful.
