Windows 10: SSH Connection Refused - nt Authority

Discus and support SSH Connection Refused - nt Authority in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I'm trying to get into a win10 box from a linux box.     SSH Connection Refused - nt Authority


    I'm trying to get into a win10 box from a linux box. I can get in using a normal user password but when I try to use shh keys I get:

    debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey,password,keyboard-interactive

    Any help appreciated - I'm stuck!

    Using OpenSSH on up to date windows 10 box

    SSH help

    going round in circles. changed password, opened winscp, won't log in. ran ssh user@localhost and got connection refused again.



    The status bar plugin is just to turn SSH on or off

    SSH help

    That means your phone hasn't started the ssh daemon.. what happens if you run:

    sudo gainroot

    start sshd

    You should then be able to run

    ssh user@localhost and it won't report connection refused
