  1. SSID not showing up.

I recently tried to change the SSID from default but I did a small mistake. My Modem was Dlink DIR-809. I went to the link, logged in and went to the wireless section and clicked on wireless network setup wizardoption at the top and changed the ssid and clicked next. And I got disconnected from the WiFi then. Then the new name was showing but when I tried to connect with my old password it did not connect. Then I switched on and off the WiFi and the SSID itself disappeared. I don't know how to make it appear now. I think I have attached the photo. I should have gone to manual wireless settin

    :)

    Router's SSID Not Showing Up

    Thanks for everyone's help.

I noticed that the list of available SSIDs on my Windows configuration was shorter than on my phone. When I boot to Linux all the SSIDs show up that I see on the phone. That made me pretty sure that it's not a router issue but seemed to be a driver issue for the network adapter in Windows.

I opened Device Manager and removed the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-7260 adapter. I responded to delete driver software. I scanned for new hardware and the WiFi adapter showed back up and installed a 2015 version of the driver. SSIDs populated with a complete list including my missing SSID for my router. Back in business and blazing along at 5ghz connected speeds.

Weird the newer drivers don't work and find the SSID. In any case, fixed! Apparently, not all the time newer drivers are better drivers ;-)

  3. SSIDs are delayed to showing when clicking the WIFI icon

    Dear MS support team,

The pilot users for W11 have issues after updating the Wireless Driver

    Computer model: ASUS/P5440FF

First issue switching from LAN to WIFI and the advised to update the Wireless adapter driver which were performed, and now has new issue with delayed showing the list of available SSIDs.

And once the SSIDs are showing and clicking again the WIFI icon to close it and click back it will show quickly but if you leaved it not clicking the WIFI icon will happen again the same issue it needs to wait for other user 40 seconds to show the available list of SSIDs.

I'd advised to roll back the Wireless adapter driver and waiting for the result.

Question: Is that possible also to install the W10 Wireless adapter driver dedicated for ASUS/P5440FF?

Kindly let me know what the next steps will I need to try to resolve the issue.

    Best regards

    Tolits

Windows 10 SSID not showing up

My WIFI router has 2 speeds and 2 SSIDs but when I look at available networks the hi-speed SSID doesn't appear in the list. Any idea why?
