foursquare ssl handshake failed

hello,i am on the latest version of foursquare 2.095 but recently i always get the error ssl handshake failed.



it used to work fine about a month ago.



i uninstalled it, reinstalled, rebooted both times and still the same issue.



i have an Anna N8, because my carrier does not allow the Belle update. but that is not the issue.

any help, please.

I am still using my N8 (hopefully moving to a new phone soon - Lumia 930). I just went on a trip to the US and Foursquare was working. Halfway through through the trip it stopped working

Now I get a "ssl handshake failed'. I tried rebooting. The time on the phone is OK, Oddly enough, it show my gps location.



I am using the latest version - 2.0.1016 - I can't find one more recent.



Help?

Getting "Performing a TLS handshake to" message when trying to connect

Turns out, my Eset AV (currently using ESET Smart Security Premium) is the problem, disabling SSL scanning, now I can browse any site without any TLS handshake issues.





But, eset says "In some cases, the root certificate is not properly imported during the installation of ESET products. This issue is often resolved by disabling and then re-enabling SSL scanning. To do so, please follow the steps below:" I'll do that later and see if the issues is coming back.
