Windows 10: Standard User to perform application updates

I have a specific application that periodically at least every 2 days has an update available. As standard user, the ADMIN credentials are required to perform the update. Is there a specific setting to allow the specific application to update without being prompted for ADMIN password? This is for a Windows 10 Pro system on a peer to peer network.

Allow Standard User run application as admin

we have a shortcut that is calling a .exe file that requires admin rights by the UAC. I would like to be able to run the application without any admin rights or give the standard user admin rights only to this .exe. What we have done and failed.

1. Application properties >> security >> Advanced >> Permissions >> Full Control
   
   to local group A (which includes the user) and user by them self.
   
   1. Gave ownership of folder to local Group A.
      
   2. I looked in Regedit and I see the user, and they have full control for that application.
      
   3. have checked run as admin and unchecked too.
      We do not want to use /savecred because of security risk. What other steps can we take to find a solution.

I understand that you are trying to avoid the access of all the application in all users. We will help you try resolving this issue.

I suggest you to check while installing any software it gives an option to install on all users or any particular user only.

However this would be application specific to manufacturer.

You can try following the below steps also and check if it helps.

• When you install the software or an application, it makes a shortcut or copy to the public folder where all the users can access the application.
• Open C:\ Drive and select Users.
• Select Public, select the files which you don't want to be used by other users and delete the files or Cut and paste in Admin account folder.

Note: To perform this steps be logged into Admin user.
